I'm not sold on Kuznetsov. On the other hand though, Barkov won me over a long time ago.
If time is not a factor, I say go with Barkov for higher long-term potential upside.
Which would you rather have in the long-term? (don't need either right away) Pool is G=1, A=0.5, 12-team full keeper, we only play on nights with 6+ NHL games, start 6F/4D/1G. I also have Huberdeau on FLA and have no WSH guys.

Kuznetsov is one of the best player NOT playing in the NHL, and I think we will be saying that about him for years to come.
I will choose the kid who will actually come play in the NHL, Barkov.

Barkov is safer by far, but a lower offensive ceiling. I see him as similar to Toews, maybe not quite as much offensively. Kuznetsov is more of a pure offensive guy, but may never make it in N.A.

Kuznetsov is touted as the best player in the world outside the NHL. He confirmed fairly recently that he is planning on coming to the NHL after the Olympics. So he's poised to make his NHL debut in 2014-15 at 23 years old, playing with the likes of Ovechkin and Backstrom.

I guess Kuz could change his mind, but if we assume that both he and Barkov will play in the NHL, I think the obvious choice here is Kuznetsov.

Kuznetsov. He could easily post 100 points playing w Backstrom and Ovechkin. He way has more offensive upside than any prospect and most NHL players regardless of who he plays with. Barkov is safer and will be an allstar as well but this isn't even close for me
Barkov is the safer bet. However, if time is of no concern and it truly is about who has the greatest upside, Kuznetsov is the obvious choice of the 2.

I'd go with Barkov. I'm not sold on ''Kuznetsov have a higher upside than Barkov''. But this is just my opinion.
Don't get me wrong. Kuznetsov is a really good prospect. But I can see him as the next Semin with up and down. I'm not comparing the player style but the statistics side.
Barkov is the safer pick for me.
