Interesting indeed. As I said in the other thread I never doubted that Bautista was on the raw end of a lot of calls, I just wasn't happy with how he reacts to it. But to see it put in numbers is interesting.
I've been of the opinion that the best way to handle it is to just keep yourself in check and not publicly humiliate the umpires, or just whisper your displeasure to the umpire while getting set in the box. But seeing Jeter's numbers kind of makes me wonder now because he typically does the whole whisper thing.
Here's the thing though, the article makes a good point in showing that yes Bautista has been screwed more than he should be. But it doesn't really answer the question of to what degree has his reactions to calls worsened the situation. I mean even when you look at his numbers...it starts at .04 in 2009, .18 in 2010, .19 in 2011, and jumps up to .41 in 2012 and .40 in 2013.
