Despite giving up 5 runs on 10 hits, I actually thought Wang was ok for the most part last night.
I mean half of his 10 hits and three walks came in that bad fourth inning. Aside from that he was pretty decent. The Jays need a guy like him who can pitch deep into games and save the bullpen some arms right now, especially with the way we're tossing out our bullpen for every 5th start when Rogers pitches lol.
I actually didn't think he did too bad either for his first start. I definitely hope he gets better.. Was happy to see the Jays draft alot of pitchers in the draft(1st 9 picks were pitchers)..
But as long as the offence can continue to put up 7 or more runs, we should start winning alot more.. HAHA..

We're in June and he's only had two good starts to his credit...and they both ended in losses.
Solid start by Wang on Sunday. Went deep for a second time.
As a player and a fan it has always amazed me how the slightest difference in a play can lead to a monumental difference in the outcome. If Edwin doesn't make that diving grab, Wang very well could have ended up getting shelled for the rest of the game and then maybe he's told that he's not going to start again.
Hope that whatever it is on his finger (blister or something) doesn't keep him out of the next start though. The bullpen is getting a nice break after getting really overworked in the first couple months. If...and this is a BIG IF...the Jays are able to come back and contend for a spot we're gonna need the bullpen to be rested and sharp.
When your Wang goes deep it's bound to gather some wear and tear but blisters? Damn, that shit's gross.
