I've said it before and I'll say it again...the Sedins are not the guys to get you to the promised land....sorry. I'd like to see the Nucks win it all but until the Sedin era officially comes to an end they'll always be the bridesmaid.

Personally I don't agree with everybody saying that the OT penalty against Sedin was a bad call. Hitting a guy 5ft from the boards, into the boards, while he's going to retrieve the puck usually results in a boarding penalty, regardless of whether it was directly from behind or not. Wingels did not even have possession of the puck at the time of contact, had Sedin waited till he retrieved the puck Wingels would have been closer to the boards and he could have plastered him then.
Almost irrelevant to talk about when you get swept though, had it been OT in game 7 then I could see some nuck's fans being upset. Also think they should have stuck with Bobby Lu though, Schneider's play in game 3 was dismal leading to a loss and even if they could have squeaked out a win last night the odds of winning 3 straight were not good.

I guess the whole notion that keeping Luongo and Schneider around for the playoffs can be put to bed now as being a really bad idea? Such a frustrating saga to watch unfold and so utterly useless in the end to keep both of them.
I wouldn't agree that having both goalies was useless... with the injury to Lack the Canucks would have been really thin in net with one of Lu/Schneids traded away. Luongo kept the Canucks in the first two games for stretches... I don't know that Cannata would have.
The Canucks problems were lack of discipline/execution/scoring. The players in front of the goalies should have produced better results. They didn't.

Kevin Bieksa's face was amazingly hilarious when he got the late 3rd period penalty that eventually led to Pavelski's game-tying goal.

Interesting insight about the goaltender start decisions in games 3 and 4.
http://www.theprovince.com/sports/ho...766/story.html
Apparently Lu thought the same thing we all (except Vigneault) did before Game 3... if the coach doesn't get canned I'm going to downtown Van to torch a cop car... that is still the accepted form of protest, right?Luongo said it was the first time in his career Schneider got a start which he thought he should have got. Wrap your head around that one.
“As I said after the third game, this is (Schneider’s) team and obviously he deserves to play, he was just put in a tough spot with the injury and not having practised much to go into a playoff game like that,” Luongo said. “It was a bit of a tough spot for him, and I thought people were unfair in the way they judged his performances given he hadn’t practised much.”
