LA Angels closer position
I am curious to whats going to happen here once Madson returns from the IR. Right now they are rolling with Frieri but any thoughts to what will happen once Madson returns.
I am asking because someone in one of my keeper leagues is looking at moving Frieri.

I wouldn't say they are terrible. He's still averaging more than 1K per inning and has only given up 3 ER's this season, all in seperate outings. His walks are up but his only blown save was two nights ago in the Oakland marathon. The major problem is that the Angels have been pretty poor in April and he hasn't exactly had a lot of save opportunities. If they can round into shape and give him more save chances he could be a good buy low right now as I don't think Madson will be handed the job when he gets back. Just my opinion though, and I am a Frieri owner so my glasses might have a hint of rose colouring in them.Originally Posted by spitball

All I'm saying is the team hasn't given him a ton of save opportunities to get in a groove. I'll grant you all that sabermetric stuff.As a Frieri owner, I'm in a holding pattern for now.
