I'm still wondering why you call them "guys movies" or whatever. It's the kind of asinine gender division that I'd expect from a bunch of rowdy idiots in a bar in the 50s. It implies a whole bunch of stupid stuff, like women don't appreciate these movies, etc. A good movie is a good movie, regardless of the gender of the people watching. You guys sound like a bunch of unenlightened cavemen.

    My recommendations would be wide-ranging.

The classics, like Die Hard, Rocky IV, Rambo, Roadhouse, Cool Hand Luke, Fight Club, Training Day. Really liked End of Watch (cop movie, similar to Training Day) from last year, too.

I'm a sucker for cheesy/campy/bad action movies: anything Stallone, Arnold, or Seagal. JCVD, too. The original Universal Solider is awesome.

Really like the Rock, too. The past few Fast/Furious movies have been great (well, they are bad movies, but fantastic action, sweet cars, guns, explosions, and so on).

Then you loved the new Expendables movie, right? That was the most craptastic thing ever and I loved every minute of it!

Expendables 2 was one of the worst movies I ever watched... and I actually like shitty action movies.

Liked any Van Damme movie in the 90s, like Lionheart (Full Contact) and The Kickboxer... I know they are horrible, but still liked them.

Any Given Sunday, especially for the Al Pacino speech.

    Braveheart, a classic.

Slap Shot... already there, but any Dobberite that haven't seen it yet must stop immediately what they are doing and go rent it.

    Titani... I mean Starship Troopers.

I know, sooooo terrible but I also sat there trashing it with my buddies as I often do with terrible movies so I loved their terribleness.

I think I was overflowed with adrenaline after the first 5 minutes! I saw it in the theatres and it was ridiculously loud and too much action for so much screen!

lol...awesome. I saw the original 1978 version when I was ten years old. Classic.

After the success of Jaws and Piranha, budding directors had their go at other nefarious aquatic-themed movies.

Unfortunately (or not) the genre died an early death, after "Haddock's Lenten Revenge" was vehemently protested by the Catholic church.
