Need help with waiver (lots of goodies)

Here is my team.
Mauer, Fielder, Uggla, Hanley Ramirez, Hardy, Dunn, Hamilton, Kemp, Carlos Beltran, Alfonso Soriano, Carlos Santana, Kubel

Broxton, Kimbrel, League, Samardzija, CJ Wilson, Buerhle, Bailey


I am about to drop Teixera for Jim Johnson. I can't believe someone just dropped him. He's waiver and I hope to get him in 2 days time. I don't need a 4th RP but he's too good to pass up.

What I DO need help with is with one of the following players and I think pitching is still a weakness with Samardzija and Bailey.

Available pitchers are: Jaime Garcia, Lohse, Vargas, McCarthy, Zito
Available batters are: Cuddyer, Reddick, Hart (questionable but I can stash him), Ackley, Crisp, Morneau

The lack of job for Lohse is the only reason i hesitate. I have him on watch so I can move quickly in case. Samardzija is the likely "goodbye" candidate to be honest.

Garcia is still a risk what with the rehab potential/injury last season. Buerhle can go but not sure if that's the right move either. Can someone else convince me of the same?

I would just stash him on your bench before someone else does, those FA pitching options are not great. I think he will be valuable enough to roster in most leagues.

Maybe the thought was he's coming to a contender and he's low in the rotation so he'll get favourable match-ups pitching for a good team. Likely not enough to bump him up to 28th, but at least a possible explanation. I took a waiver on him in the late rounds but based on your UNdorsement, I'd be willing to swap him out for a guy like Shelby Miller who just got dropped in my league for some reason.

I wouldn't pick up Buehrle either. He'll give you innings and wins buuuuut.....that's about it.

I'd grab Reddick for Dunn.

He left a pitchers park, faced no DH. Now he is in a homer park, facing a DH.
That's a big con to me, not a pro.

As far as matchups, that's a myth. After about 3 weeks, with days off and 5th starters here and there, a 4th is just as likely to face a 1 or 2.

I think people are worried about his health. Probably. But yeah, he should be a decent pick up.
