    Default McCabe for Rafalski

I\'m a McCabe hater, so I\'m not sure I can be unbiased in this. I\'ve been offered McCabe for Rafalski and I\'d prefer not to take the deal. I like Rafalski on Detroit and I believe that McCabe is over-rated.

Am I letting my dislike of McCabe cloud my judgment?

I think they\'re both 50+ point defensemen. Somebody\'s going to come in and say \"McCabe is younger\" but it\'s only a couple of years.

Lidstrom also being in Detroit probably, worst case, means that Rafalski does about the same as last year, because Detroit will score more.

McCabe\'s production is probably close enough where it\'s not a big deal which one you have. I don\'t think McCabe is going to all of a sudden jump up and have 75 pts this season.

If you don\'t like McCabe, don\'t take him. Rafalski is great.

I changed the deal, it\'s now:

I send Rafalski, Nylander and Avery

    for

Br. Campbell, O. Jokinen, a 12th Rd. pick and the 4th over-all waiver pick.

The waiver draft is equivalent to the rookie draft, this will give me the 4th and 7th picks in the waiver draft.

Deal #2 is clearly in your favor.

Nylander is 34 years old and 83 points in 79 games.
Jokinen is 28 years and had 91 points in 82 games.

Nylander could be playing with Ovechkin but his age could make him more susceptible to injury. I would prefer to own Jokinen.

Rafalski is 33 and had 55 points in 82 games.
Campbell is 28 and had 48 points in 82 games. The difference being 2g and 5a.

I would prefer to own Campbell.

As for Avery. PIM\'s must count in your pool.

PS: McCabe/Rafalski: If there is point differential in goals/assists then I would prefer to own McCabe. McCabe is definitely more of a goal scorer than Rafalski.

Without reading the other guys comments, I would keep Rafalski unless your league counts d goals for 2 pts then go for McCabe. Rafalski will have better all around numbers otherwise.

If PMS count in your league I don\'t send Avery. I think Avery is found his niche in NY. He was getting tons of icetime in New York and he could easily be a 45-50 point guy with 200 pms....you don\'t find those guys anymore. I would prefer Ollie over Nylander as well, but with Buffalo a bit weaker on O, I want Rafalski over Campbell
