with your team leaning more towards the younger players i would probably go with edler

Extended CATS - Chara (Edler's not bad though)
Cap - Edler. (crucifies Chara)
Points - Edler
Consistency - hmmm. Chara has the better long term track record, but he's old and not the classic 'easy skater' that often ages so gracefully (see Lidstrom, Selanne, Sakic...)
Age - Edler
Now, that age thing... some of the classic old D-men just keep going & going & going. So I'm not so sure that Chara will have a 'dramatic' drop off any time soon. Boston also isn't too busy striving to get some whiz jack PP QB.
I have Edler and think he's great. Sometimes we see our Edler's (young D-men) take dramatic and unexpected drop offs. No reason to think this is going to happen at this moment. Vancouver looks pretty dandy... but it has happened before.
