When Mats Sundin left the Leafs and Wilson was hired, there was no captain for the 2008-09 season. Two Leafs players at the time entered Wilson's office and both asked for the captaincy. Wilson responded by pulling out a picture of the 1967 Maple Leafs squad and asking each player to name two guys on the team. Neither could get 1 and both left.

Name those two players that asked to be captain.
wild guesses but Matt Stajan and Kaberle

Not sure if anyone wanted to revive this, but I'm a little bored.

Question: What player has the most Stanley Cups without being in the hall of fame?

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

No idea, but it has to be someone from the Habs who went along for the ride for a bunch of their Cups.

Ding ding ding we have a winner, Nicely done. its a bit of an obscure question but I think he may have been the only player ever to have done that, although I could be wrong.
