Going through my keepers.

Just going through my keepers one last time before they lock, wondering how my picks differed from the forums.

I started a rebuild (After I smartened up post multiple bad trades) in my 1st year last season after taking over a team in my friends league. So I feel like I got a good group of young guys and pick in excess of my own (2 third round picks, 3 fourth's, 2 fifth's).

Do I keep stocking up young prospect type guys or do I start going for it all? At what point should you stop rebuilding?

I'm thinking you're about 2 yrs away from competing. You have good young players but they haven't quite broken through just yet to the next level. Stock up some more.

^I agree.

Kesler has been a bowl-full-of-injuries over the last year+, so you may look to move him. Unfortunately, you have a stock-pile of draft picks that aren't really useful if you don't have a chance at winning.

I'd look to move those picks for an improvement in next year's draft.

For example,
Offer a guy your 3rd round pick for his 3rd round pick NEXT year.
Do this with as many picks as you can.

Or, try to bundle several of them for one really great 1st round pick... IF, IF... you think it can net you a prime future keeper.

You look to have a very good base to start with, and I agree with Gainerama that you are a few years away so you'll have to be patient.

I'd look at trading a few older guys like Briere and Kunitz plus etra draft picks for players that will fit more with the age group of your team going forward. Granlund, Schwartz, Baertschi, Zibanejad, etc.
