Jaroslav Halak
Jimmy Howard
This is the second batch of our Round Two matchups in the Cage Match Tournament. Last week featured our second upset of the tournament so don't be shy in picking an underdog. Just remember that you are voting based on a one-year league with scoring categories being: Wins, GAA, Save% and Shutouts.
May the best goalie win.
#1 Ryan Miller vs. #5 Craig Anderson
#1 Mike Smith vs. #4 Niklas Backstrom
#2 Cam Ward vs. #3 Roberto Luongo

I'd rather take my chances on Halak hanging onto the #1 gig with stellar numbers.
I voted Howard.
I went with Halak.....I don't buy Brian Elliott at all, he's been a fringe NHL player his whole career and he went bananas last season. I don't expect that again, which means Halak could see 55+ starts. In 55 games he'll win 30+, and his stats will blow Howard's away imo. Even if Howard gets a few more wins (which I'm not even sure he will, Gustavsson is a much better backup than Conklin), the GAA and Sv% will swing this to Halak.

This one was tough, but I went Halak. My working theory with Halak is he ultimately earns a more significant workload than Elliott - is 65 too much to ask? That gets him the advantage over Howard.
Risky, but sometimes ya gotta say wtf.
