Definitely not surprised with the first two.
Well the title says it all. I won't spoil anything, but here is how it is calculated:
http://www.businessweek.com/articles...ders-in-sportsWe’ve used payroll data (from USA Today, Basketball-Reference.com, NBC Sports, and NFL.com) to calculate how much teams spent per win over the last five seasons. (For baseball, we also include the first half of the current season.) We then compared every team against league average, producing a total score we call the efficiency index. The median score for every league is zero. The lower the score, the less a team spent for its wins.
Definitely not surprised with the first two.

The top five teams in the NHL based on the slliders I used?
Kings, Red Wings, Blackhawks, Bruins and Penguins.
The ONLY thing that matters is winning a Stanley Cup and those 5 teams did it in the last five years. Smart spending!
LOL very nicely put. Definitely a different way to look at it. Although Id argue that the Blackhawks should be last for their (quite large) cap mixup a few years back. And also that 1st should be either Detroit or Pittsburgh..LA shouldn't be #1 just because they just won the Cup.....
Sharks above the Kings? Lol whut
