    I actually like Turris a lot. I'm just disagreeing with people who think he is a slam dunk.

    a point to add about Turris is he is now around 198 or 200. He was 170 when drafted.

    I don't know enough about his game. Is he strong defensively? Ready to back check? Knock a man off the puck? If he can do these things as a second-line centre, plus be offensive when needed, then it's a great signing. If he can do these things even when struggling offensively, it's still a good signing.

    But if he struggles defensively, and ends up struggling offensively, it's not a great signing.

    It's a good contract for a 2nd line centre. If he builds off of the success he had last season then this will be a steal of a deal. If not, then he becomes a well paid 3rd liner. Either way it is decent enough
