There are some guys I know Im not keeping...
These are the bubble -
Eli Manning (definate keeper) just traded Greg Jennings for Him and Steve Smith (Car)
The aforementioned Steve Smith
Julio Jones
Roddy White
Brandon Marshall
Darren McFadden
Marshawn Lynch
Maurice Jones Drew
Jammal Charles
So, 9 players, but only keep 5. Manning is the gimme.
Who are the other 4 keepers?
The biggest risk is probably
MJD and DMC. The best players, but when they play - they're the bonafide #1RB in their spots.
Marshawn Lynch? Got his contract, will he be a beast like last year?
Julio Jones and Roddy White? Who gets more touches in ATL?
Brandon Marshall? Expecting a freakish year from him.....But is he under the radar enough where I can snag him later?
Thanks all, I could really use the help.
I would keep:
Jones
MJD
Run DMC (Dmac)
Charles
Hear me out, dude. WR is a very deep position. You have good ones, and you'll be able to add some quality ones on the reup. RBs, especially studs, are hard to come by. Charles is a former top 5 fantasy back, and will return to form. On a bad Jax team, MJD was a stud. Gabbert and Blackmon will increase his value, preventing teams from going 8in the box vs MJD. Don't sweat him being out. That dude will be the man again. Worst case scenario, he has an off year, but returns next year ON YOUR TEAM. Lastly, Run DMC gets banged a little, but he's a beast. Trust me, even if you disagree on the WR, keep the three backs. All three of them can be top 5 backs. That's unheard of on one team. You'd compete every year, seriously. Lynch is a nice player but not in the same league as the other three. I also think Wilson being a running QB hurts Lynch's value.
I'd take either one of the ATL WRs over Marshall because Turner is on the downside, and they will be a passing team with these two WRs. Marshall will put up numbers, but Forte will be there. Give me Jones the freak over White, he's younger, too. Also, consider that ATL plays in a dome, so half of their games will be in a controlled environment, ideal for passing. At some point in time, CHI will deal with cold weather - snow...rain, which means less passing and more running. Besides this, as good as Marshall is, a team can double up on him and take him out, if need be. With two elite WRs in ATL, this won't happen. No way either guy is taken away an entire game. Think Rice and Taylor with these two.
