Max, all I have to say is that you tried to piss with the wrong big dog. Let's hope you don't live to regret the day you shoved him in the back. Get well.
So By watching the video of Chara's reaction after the Habs scored a goal to win the game and going after Pacioretty.....then watching this hit.....you think its hilarious to call him an ******????
He doesn't fall into the nice guy qualification when he takes someone career into his own hands, he knew what he was doing on this hit.

sorry bout that....go **** yourself
McKenzie is a smart hockey mind and a shrewd analyst of the game, but he grew up in Toronto cheering for the Leafs during an era when they actually had a pretty good team but got spanked regularly by the Habs, his bias is and always has been thinly veiled at best.
Chara is not a nice guy by any stretch, in fact if he has a chip on his shoulder against someone, he's downright mean. I've already agreed with you that cheap shots are not his normal MO and given his size he does often show restraint, but if he's targeted someone for payback he's nasty
I'm sorry but I I love Marchand's comments after the game. He talks about the Habs doing lots of stuff behind the plays and falling easily and shooting their mouths off, then acting like little girls that didn't deserve it when stuff gets rough (not this, necessarily).
Favorite line:
"They threw the first punch. They stir the pot and they got what they deserve. It wasn't our fault. They played into our hands. Whatever they're mad about they can suck it up. It's not our fault."

Marchand's comments were made before the game (see the text of the article and the time of publication). There is no way anyone with any human decency would make (or condone) comments like that in reaction to the Chara hit. Intentional or not, one thing is undeniable: Pac did not get "what he deserved." Nobody deserves that.
Sorry if this has been discussed, but I jumped to the last page.
What does this do to the lineup? Does this open up some time in the top six for Descharnais?

Just read on the front page about Max Pac having two broken vertebrea; all of the back and forth bologna on this thread aside, this just became about this guy's quality of life moving forward. screw the career.
No one deserves this.
and although i don't know Chara personally, if he's a decent human being, which he probably is, he has to be feeling a lot of remorse and gulilt over this. He just runied a young guys career and may seriously impede him from doing much of anything for the rest of his life. that's messed up for everyone involved.

Yeah, it's really too bad, this past week, there was like 10 threads on trading for or keeping Max. Can't imagine he's worth much in fantasy land anymore. Suspensions and forum antics won't fix that this guy isn't going to play again this year and has a long road back.
I can only hope Boston and Montreal meet in a Round 1 matchup, that would be an epic series!
