caught the 2nd and 3rd tonight and it was a fast paced sloppy game. Arizona dominated most of the play and the devils looked tired coming off a b2b win in a shootout against OTT. the devils couldn't clear the puck tonight but they still playd well defensively and when it counted.

From Arizona side I have to say Keller looked really really good. This kid is going to be great, don't sleep on him get him if you can in keeper leagues.

From Devils side: Palmieri (wearing a walking boot), Johansson (last min scratch LBI I think), and Green (birth of a kid) were all out tonight and they went with 11 forwards and 7 dmen. Schneider was back so that's good.

BRATT: as I said before what to say about him. Damn he is so good especially only being a 6th round pick. He has such poise and command of the puck and Ice. Him and hall just click like there is no tomorrow. some of the moves Bratt made tonight I would have thought he was an early 1st round pick. I know he has been hot and cold this season but what do you expect.

Hall: is so much fun to watch. He has a sick sick shot and just plays a strong game

Butcher: PP specialist it seems for now but honestly he is also very flashy and fun with the puck. He has great vision and his passing is really good.

Henrique: he is playing at another level this season. Hope he doesn't lose it when zajac comes back

Zacha: two points in OTT nothing tonight but he is playing a good strong game. Right now he needs to work on responsivity just pray the scoring touch comes along also (I know I am as I traded big for him this year in my rebuilding keeper league)

Trade news: The devils traded wedgewood to Arizona today for a 5th round pick. Nothing big and a terrible return. Thought is they are doing wedgewood a favor as he wont see much in NJ after falling out of flavor. Crazy how a few years ago he was pegged as our next number 1 goalie.

Bratt is the real deal. He's so fun to watch and is such an intelligent player with and without the puck. I can't even believe he was a 6th round pick.

Haven't had much time to watch too many games latley so don't have much insight but here aren't today's practice lines:

Hall- nico- palmeri
Bratt- Henrique- stafford
Gibbons- Boyle- Hayes
Wood- Coleman- noeson

Scratches tonight: severson, prout, Zacha (not 100% of the severson one just yet)

Crazy to bench severson two games on a row. Apparently he has been the best dman on the devils in driving the play to offense (statistic wise)

Palms was practicing and looking like game ready with caution. The article said if anything changes they would update later n the day.

The benching of Zacha and severson are very troublesome

WOW WOW - thats what i will say about tonight game Devils 7 - Chi 5. insane game. (missed the first period but caught 2nd and 3rd)

I missed the first period which had chi up 4-2. Devils came out in the second and scored 4 goals to chi's 1. then the devils added another one early in the 3rd to close out the game. this was a super fast paced. just back and forth insane playing. it was a bit of madness going on but very fun to watch. I should add this was a b2b for the devils and chi.

Kinkaid played a strong game even after letting in 4 goals. He had a handful of big saves to keep the devils in but the biggest i saw was in the 3rd a shot from Anisimov. (as a devil fan i loved the save but as fantasy fan i wish it went in.. sorry to say but it was passed by Kane and Schmaltz who i have both and could have used those assists!!!).

Wood - 3 goals (first career hattrick) and an a assist tonight. he was just flying. oh not to mention 7 sog

Hall - strong as always. just being super dominate this season. so nice to watch

Bratt - nothing amazing but just so much poise and control. still shocked he was a 6th round pick

Severson - i was wrong above in other post. he only got benched one game. then came back had a strong game, next game assist, and tonight no points but was playing in key minutes and looked great (ended with a +2).

Nico - what not to say. fun to watch. drives hard and just is looking like a stud! 3 points tonight

A little note from CHI side: schmaltz very strong on the puck and good passer. Kane always great but i think he has another level still to his game this season that he isnt showing. Debrincat - this kid is a dangerous player. He has a killer shot. he is on a hot streak but his shooting is just amazing.

great and crazy game to watch. high scoring and fun.

he was a +2 just didnt get on the passing i guess. He looked good. some great speed to get to the puck and distribute. I think they need to get Zacha back on that line at center. at times they played with Henrique and Nico. maybe just odd man changes that shifted the lines a bit.

Overall he looks like he is still getting his game legs back. but yeah strong play just not htting the boxscore.

As of now zajac is looking to return tonight. Hasn't been officially activated off IR but with mueller going on IR that seems like the plan. Stay tuned.

Will try to post lines if I see any reports before the game.

But this could be a big shakeup for the devils good or bad unknown. Would never say getting zajac back is bad but the devils have been getting it done so who knows.
