I’m kidding of course, at this point I can’t help but feel that Leafs fans are too cynical now to get super excited over this win.

But wouldn’t it be the most Toronto thing ever for Kallgren to go on a Hamburglar type run and then get absolutely shelled in the first round?

He was incredibly lucky. But played how a goalie for the offensively strong Leafs needed. Make the saves you're supposed to! That's exactly the game the Leafs needed and then some.


Last nights D-pairing should be the same in their next game.
Rielly - Lybushkin
Brodie - Holl
Sanding - Lilj

They all played how they should. Lilj plays better not against the top guys and with Sandin. Lybushkin was surprisingly good with Rielly. There was a pass by Robertson to Holl when Robertson was delaying in the Leafs zone for a change and sauced it towards Holl, camera pans to him and Holl like just didn't move for the pass and just reached. It was weird and made me dislike Holl more haha.

So the crazy thing is they should be using these pairings till Monday. If it works...do you really upgrade Holl in a large way? I dunno. Muzzin is there still and could shift into that 2nd line with Brodie moving back to the right side. You got to run these pairings again and see if they actually work.

And Muzzin was in the building last night in the pressbox watching. He's closer than I think people think.

Goaltender Harri Sateri has signed with the #leafs for the remainder of the season, subject to clearing waivers. He's on the waiver wire today.

Sateri had a standout season with KHL Novosibirsk Sibir and won Olympic gold with Finland in Beijing.
