He played 1 preseason game for the leafs.....I almost bought (not really) the jersey for $800 at those end of year equipment sale things
He signed his ELC with Bruins in 2007. Rask played in Liiga the 2005-06 season (yr after he was drafted) and his first game there was Sept 15th, Leafs first game that yr in the regular season was October 5th. Pre-season would have been happening mid-Liiga season.
2006-07 Ilves in Liiga played their first game Sept 14th, Leafs first played their game Oct 4th. Same deal.
I don't think Rask even played a pre-season game. Maybe they had his jersey out for sale since he was a 1st round pick. Maybe he had a jersey from a rookie camp. I don't think he ever played a pre-season game for the Leafs. But I can't find enough info otherwise to prove it since it was 2005 and the info on games is a lot harder to find. So I could be wrong. Would be a neat fact if he did play for the Leafs.

I've been through all the data bases I know for hockey and I believe Olympic is correct. It does not appear that Rask ever played a preseason game for or even showed up for camp with the Leafs.

all i can say is im glad i drafted mrazek late and wasnt relying on him. like clockwork with this guy tho cmon man!
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
Its weird because Chris Johnson said he'll likely be out a while, but Hutch was in the Marlies opening night roster tmo...but that obviously isn't in stone. And with Scott and Woll on IR the Marlies backup is Kallgren...Dubnyk is out there on FA...And Dallas def has a goalie available.

Why do the NYR goalies become the 2nd coming vs the Leafs.

He looked way better last night. I think the PP usage tho is weird the first few games but man that PP last night was exactly what it should be. I had NO CLUE what they were going to do next, players were moving, they were passing, they were retrieving loose pucks. That's how the PP should look with that talent.
I still think Rielly can't be the PP1 QB. Defends just let him have the one timer shot opportunity but close it off once he holds the puck. They know they need to defend a one touch pass from him way more than a shot. At least Sandin has a shot.
But Marner...he's def going to breakout soon. guy has 13SOG, and 30shot attempts through 4 games (3.25/game....7.5/game). He's still a top 15 points league player. He had 1SOG last night with Matthews getting 8. I think between them, they'll avg6-9/game. Marner should be around 2-3/game. He'll be fine. If anything, he could improve on points total if that PP figures itself out.
I have no worries on Marner. He might end up getting more offensive opportunities with Nylander taking some PK time away from him.

that was one of best goalie performances i ever seen to be honest..just unreal...and also rangers collapsed very well in front of the net..i didnt see stats on final shot attempts but im assuming it was pretty high..
if Matthews plays every game like this, he will have 50 before christmass lol

Last night Shesterkin reminded me of King Henrik. Just seems unbeatable at times.
