Can't wait for Round 1 with the Bs... admittedly I don't like our chances against that team, but it'll be a fun series for sure!

I'm liking them a bit better with Boston softening up of late. And Tor starting to show a better all around game. Freddy vs. a resting TB will be one thing... Freddy Sat vs. a likely very desperate Mtl team is another.

Very nice to see Rosen step in and play well. Hopefully he can continue to get better.

Justin Brazeau agrees to a 2 year, AHL deal with the Toronto Marlies. $70,000 base salary and $60,000 signing bonus per year.
Not quite sure what to make of this. He scored 61 goals as an overager for North Bay this year, someone was going to sign him but the AHL deal surprises me. I'm not sure he can even play in their playoffs since he didn't sign an Amateur Try-Out deal.

I just like the fact the Leafs grabbed him. But does he turn into Dane Fox? or into a future NHLer? Fox was on Connor Brown's line & scored 60 goals - both were overagers - same year Brown won the OHL scoring title

    Hutchinson called up.

-This is the 4th of 4 pick ups the team can make post trade deadline.
-Hutch was the No1 goalie in the Marlies
-Speaks volumes of how much they trust Sparks.

Curious who's on the bench as the backup come Thursday.

you would think it would have to be Sparks. There's no way they go into the playoffs carrying a 3rd goalie.

There's no reason to bring up Hutch right now though. Why waste your last call up on Hutch if he's not backing Andersen up? Andersen gets hurt, Sparks comes in relief, use an emergency call up on Hutch for the next game (doesn't count against the 4 call ups).

Bobby Mac tweeted the Leafs will carry 3 goalies into the playoffs too.

To add onto to the goalie situation, it’s being reported that Andersen, Hutchinson and Jospeh Woll are on the ice for Leafs practice. No sight of Sparks yet.

Pretty sure Hutch has replaced Sparks as the backup.

I agree with this and have been waiting for the call-up to be honest. Some on Leafs twitter believe Sparks will be placed on waivers which doesn’t make any sense at the moment all things considered. Sparks is ineligible to play for the Marlies in the playoffs and Leafs can carry all three goalies.

Sparks going on waivers makes no sense whatsoever, but crazier things have happened. He should stick around as #3.

Yep, which is what I’m expecting. They said yesterday that Andersen was going to play tomorrow vs. Montreal. I would assume that has changed now? You have to give Hutchinson the start.

    Great tweet, solid point....

Kyle Dubas views a long playoff run for the #Marlies as a key developmental tool. Michael Hutchinson allowed that to be a possibility. To call him up now, stripping Hutch of waiver eligibility & the Marlies of their #1, speaks VOLUMES to just how little the org trusts Sparks.

    That from @mikeystephens81
