Im generally of a fix what isnt broken kinda guy. We'll see if they find success deploying in this way.
It was pretty obvious the Leafs net front presence on the PP was non-existent. Bam Simmonds goes in front. Thornton is still a wizard with passing, Matthews and Marner are obvious.
I kinda like that new top PP. Seems just more balanced. One of the big issues on the Leafs PP was when the PP ended. Using JT, Matthews, Nylander and Marner on the PP (and Hyman) left Kerfoot being the next center up against the opponents top offensive players for a shift. This helps that.
