yeah that was brutal, I can't understand why that isn't a 5 min major and a misconduct (you think that's bad though you should see the song and dance the refs are putting on for the Nucks tonight though, unbeleivable)...that is precisely the kind of hit the league is trying to eliminate from the game. The fact that the Sharks stood around and watched too was disgraceful, if ever there was a team without a soul its SJ

why was Greiss put it in after the 2nd? I'm assuming Niemi is okay and coach wanted to give him some ice time (FINALLY) ?

Joe Thornton is a +152 for +/-, regular season career

is a -28 playoff career

NHL Network guys are calling 5 games for the blues

Thornton is an enigma when it comes to the playoffs. He brings it against certain teams and then others now how to handle him. Detroit is one team that Thornton brings it against. I just don't think we'll be playing against them.

Niemi was pulled I think may have been planned, but was more essential in shaking up the team as they played differently and I think that was the primary motive at that point. The team responded, or I should say, Dan Boyle responded. Zing!

Anyhoo, I wrote a little something on my blog about what the Sharks should do regardless of how the playoffs play out. Plus, have a couple ideas that could work, but most likely won't from my understanding of Doug Wilson.

I think there might be a big game tonight. Not sure though. I may have even posted something on Shark Remarks about it... hmm I just can't put my finger on it, but something big is going down at 7:30 pm ET.

Yeah, and Niemi played better than I've ever seen him. Some big boys did a great job. Hopefully that top line will do something. If they get going, then this could be a much easier series than people think. Especially since most think the Blues will rock the Sharks. Hope they are all wrong.
