He's getting much better ice time there. I knew he'd do well, but I don't expect this to be a typical thing. We still have better depth than we did when we had him. I'd still do that trade again.

Great news kluu lol. Hey, I'm not watching the game, but how does Havlat look and which line is he on? I'm curious as to what they did with his return.

I think havlat is the most creative forward on the team. i really love his passing. all those shoulder fakes and feints he does, its impressive
i havent had my eyes on the game the whole time but hes playing with clowe and marleau
Okay, so it's still Couture-Thornton-Pavelski on the top line. Okay, I like that line. I really hope they find a win here.

boyle just undressed suter 1 on 1! almost schooled rinne but puck sits between rinne's skate and post
havlat, glad to have him back
He's looked good in this game, but man Niemi is blowing it. I really am at a loss here on how I want this season to turn out. Part of me wants to see them miss the playoffs and go after Nash and maybe that available 1st from Columbus, because the way they're playing, I don't think they'd beat anyone in the playoffs.
On the other hand, I'm a diehard and missing the playoffs is a huge slap in the face as a fan. This team is so much better than this record.

Sharks have 10 games left. 7 of these 10 come against their Pacific Division rivals of PHO, DAL, and LAK. So their destiny is in their own hands like fearthefin.com said. If there is one thing I know about the Sharks is that their goaltending is subpar right now, and they have always struggled against really good goalies who are hot. They play Quick tonight who's been a stud all season. They also have to deal with goalies like Tim Thomas, Varlamov (who's strangely hot again), and I'm forgetting the other at the moment. It's crazy as this really could bury them in the standings. I predict, if they do not win tonight against the Kings, they fall out of the playoffs. Calgary has a good chance of passing them as well. So we could see a pick around 12th for the first time in a long time if they lose tonight. Could be big changes in the future here.
I'm not sure who it is, but I think there is something in that locker room or someone who is a cancer or maybe it's the dynamic they have. Thornton seems to get a little fiery, Marleau (always has his puppy dog face) never shows emotion really, Couture is young and I don't see his buck teeth making waves other than airwaves due to his age, Pavelski is too far down behind the others to be the main voice, and Dan Boyle is always critical, but can't do it all on his own, Burns seems like he just has fun. I think Doug Murray needs to check the crap out of them all, except for Havlat, can't afford another injury there. Or perhaps Clowe fights them all. Either way, this team needs a huge jolt and it's too late to shake up the roster or fire someone. Then again, I don't think it's Todd Greyhairs fault where they are at.

I have to think there is some locker room/chemistry issues with this team, like you say, tgrave. Too much talent for them to be this ineffectual. It looks like there's too much thinking going on and less natural flow than should be expected with this group.

Yes, and after watching that goal from Penner just now, it doesn't help when your goalie is crap. I'll be the first Sharks fan to say he's sucks right now. Sure, he won a Cup and I can't take that from him, but until he gives us one, I'm not going to be a huge fan. Better than Nittymaki was, but he needs to be pushed more for the starts and they're not letting Greiss do that. Not sure why Greiss isn't getting more starts and that concerns me. That is a coaching decision I'm not liking.

Going to watch the big game tonight after the Preds/Pens game. Looking forward to a good night of hockey. I'm a big fan of Boston, but of course the Sharks are my boys and am curious to see how this all roles out.
Quick question: Do you guys think I should start a blog about the Sharks? I know I can't compete with fearthefin.com but they just about never say anything I haven't already thought of, but generally just have access to more stats than I do. So if I did start one, would any of you read it?

was just checkin out shots on goal by dmen and sorta surprisingly, Boyle is second at 230 shots total. Eight shots behind Karlsson. Man, I love Boyle.
I'd check up on your blog once in a while. not much of a blog reader to begin with. Dobberhockey.com though, i'm all over that
