He will take warm-ups and be a game time decision. I suspect that if he does play, it might be on power-plays only.

And to the dressing room he goes after a crash into the boards.

I'm preaching 'the time to sell (high) on Green' mantra until every smart fantasy owner listens. If this is another concussion, as I suspect, this is ridiculously bad news for all Green owners.

He didn't have a concussion this year, though.

Green ****ing blows. He's probably the most fragile, weak d-man I have seen in the last 5 years. I always knw he was overrated, but he has finally proven it this season.

If he got a concussion, it certainly didnt look too serious. He was walking pretty good to the dressing room. Green high sticked and cross checked Stepan who retaliated with elbow to Green's face. I think some players are really asking for trouble with the dirty play. That being said, Green has to be considered injury prone now.

If this was last year, or the year before, or even 2007, you'd be licking his taint like the rest of the fantasy world.

As much as this absolutely sucks, I'm going to give him a free pass this year. Just like Kovalchuk...and even Ovechkin to some degree. And about a dozen other players.

If this same stuff happens next year I'll cut bait. I hate this shit too. But it's been a pretty rough season all around.

Thankfully I traded Green away earlier this week! I am about to be too heavy in RW once my Letang/Price for St.Louis trade finalizes (I know that sounds like a lot for St.Louis, or at least me League Manager thinks so, but I am killing the goalie stats and just picked up Hedberg from FA). I am wondering what value Semin still holds this season....although he caught fire towards the end of last season. I hope that happens against this season!

I don't care about his past numbers, I always knew he was never as good as the numbers suggested. He will never ever ever hit the numbers he has in the past, especially the 30 goals.

He's just not a player who can be relied on (seems the Caps have a bunch of those).

Mike Green is under tremendous pressure these days. His snubbing by Team Canada, his poor play in his own end, and his rap for coming up short in the post season has painted him into a corner where he needs to prove that he can be a good DEFENSE-man as well. Although Green must still be considered an elite offensive Dman (and fantasy option), his balls-to-the-wall rover style may have been scaled back a bit for good.

Scaled back to what? Press box commentary? He needs to play. I don't give a shit anymore I just need a 40 point d man slightly better than Kubina for my fantasy squad.

A healthy Green should still be a lock for 55-65 points. But he's be banged up all year.

The two-time Norris Trophy finalist will not travel with the team for the Capitals' game on Long Island on Saturday.

""Right now it's cautionary," Coach Bruce Boudreau said. "Depending on what angle, it looked like [Stepan] came up with the shoulder and it looked like the shoulder hit him in the jaw type thing. From behind it would have looked like an elbow, but I don't think it was."
