Long day at work... I read the title "J Carlson waived" and immediately thought "omfg what is Washington doing?!?!?!" then opened the thread and realized I'm an idiot.
That being said... Yeah, I'd keep Carlson over Lidstrom after this year. BUT, preferably you'd trade Lidstrom for some sort of value... And other than that, I'd DEFINITELY drop Vermette to get Carlson.
