I was reading on Rotoworld that they are guessing ligament damage. However he was saw putting weight on it which makes me question legiment damage I'd figure that'd hurt like a mofo and make you unable to support yourself up.

Not sure if someone posted the bad news yet but......
TSN.ca is reporting that Evgeni Malkin has torn his MCL and ACL.
McKenzie also said that Malkin will probably require season-ending surgery, although he's currently seeking a second opinion. Obviously we'll follow this story closely and alert you when we have more information.

I still think it's too early for that...if the rehab goes well, then the risk of the injury occurring again shouldn't be too high. It's not like concussions or constant groin injuries like Gaborik had.
