Goalie information sucks haha
I thought this weeks was really good. He brought up a lot of points that I hadn't considered. Kind of wish he hadn't used three points up on the goalie quotes from his Inside Hockey feature though, but hey can't have everything you want. Its nice for people that didn't watch it.
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!
Most valuable for me:
25. Jim Hughson caught this, but one of the signs Toronto coaches aren't happy with Luke Schenn: his penalty-killing time is down. Last season, Schenn led the team in shorthanded time per game (2:44). This year, he's fourth and you can see Jake Gardiner earning more time in that situation.
I'd been holding Schenn like he was GOLD in my BkS league.
Ah, now I understand the decrease in that cat - time to pitch him to the wolves.
Thanks for posting! Another good read.
This was my favourite point,
Looks like I need to do one of my Re-Draft threads. Expect it up later this afternoon27. Also making a difference is Glen Gulutzan. Said one opposing coach: "They're fast and they never stop skating." As the Stars went through their Eastern swing, several different people (players, coaches, GM) raved about Jamie Benn. They really don't see him often and were very impressed. Benn went 129th overall in 2007. If you re-did that draft now, where does he go? Second after Patrick Kane? Third after Kane and Logan Couture?
AHH, EDITTED THIS. Sorry guys. Was not 30 Thoughts.

Don't mistake opinion for fact.
how much did Dobber pay Friedman to say this30. Wanted to mention a couple really good hockey sites. The first is the "Frozen Pool" section of dobberhockey.com. It allows you to easily determine line combinations/matchup success on a team-by-team or player-by-player basis. The second is thegoalieguild.com. His twitter feed/analysis is really good, and he also puts out an unbelievably comprehensive style guide. There are costs associated with both, but I'd recommend you look around. Found them very useful.
That's huge. Dobberhockey and goalieguild get a mention. A nice gift for Dobber.
We get one of these - Don't waste it.

Wow! This is absolutely huge for Dobber and this site! Friedman is one of the most respected broadcasters/interviewers in hockey! He is a solid guy thats is well educated, knows what is going on in both the league and behind the scenes. He gives great interviews and asks relevant questions.
Congrats to Dobber, and cheers to Elliott!!!!
