Interesting thing I've noticed from general PHI twitter folk over the last two weeks.
The twittering on potential PHI pick at #7:

50% "I think we'll end up taking Leonard. He's gonna be great."
48% "Michkov might end up falling to us. We'd be crazy not to take him."
2% Others (primarily Benson)

NOT TABLED BY ANYBODY: Reinbacher/Simashev. (add... I mean... I've seen this mentioned a couple times... but pretty much all of PHI twitterers are Leonard/Michkov... Michkov/Leonard... there's honestly not much of ANYthing else being proposed.)
This is a team heavily starved for quality D right now...
Boy... I just realized that the fanbase is gonna go absolutely APE-SHIT if they draft a boring defenseman!

That should be since Forsberg, actually. The Flyers gave up the best player in that Lindros deal, since they took Forsberg at 6 that draft. Don't look at the trade, it's brutally bad. Screw it, here it is:

Forsberg, Giroux and Couturier aren't game breaker kinds of players exactly, but definitely offensive threats - Couturier a bit behind the other two. Maybe Jeff Carter is more of a fit.

Sure. they don't need to tear it down to the bare bones, and they have some picks and pieces to get players/picks, plus what should be a cleaner cap sheet in 2 years.

Frankly, they have a goalie already whose timeline fits Michkov - Hart. However, we'l see how that all goes.

Yep, Flyers got a potential superstar. I don't get how teams like Arizona passed on him. It's not like you'll be contending (SJ) anytime soon. He just fell in Briere's lap.
