Default who would you draft first this year 2007

Reguarding the 2007 draft, who would you put in order for a keeper league not considering +and minus just points? and if you combine the past 2 years, beside the easy pick, who you think that would be a good sleeper pick.

i own radz, stasny, pouliot, voloshenko, ivan visnevsky, bryan littles.
I need to add a top d and maybe a goaler but im good with luongo in my pool, I was thinking Jakub Kindel for 4 pick overall and Vorachek as 1 ist over all ? total we are 9 in the pool and most of the top guns are out. any other combo will be carefully considered.

    Thank

I\'m taking Backstrom, but I\'m assuming he\'s already taken in your league? If not, I would recommend taking Backstrom. Toews, Mueller, and Kane are also good choices. I would take any of these guys before Voracek (Although Im planning on grabbing Mueller,Kane and Voracek in my draft. As far as D goes, Kindel is a decent choice. Leopold might also be a pretty good sleeper pick (assuming he\'s not already taken) as he didn\'t really get to show what he could do last year in COL due to injuries. Also, Price and Bernier would be good options for you for Goalie Prospects.

    Hello DM:

Personally I would not take a defenceman with a high pick (#4 overall). You should be able to pick up a decent defenceman in the second or third round.

There would be quality forwards available to you at #4. Kane, Voracek, Turris, Cherepanov, Esposito. Without knowing the size of your rosters, it is difficult to recommend a particular player.

Purchase Dobber\'s Draft Guide. It will help you out a lot.

We had our \"junior\" draft back in January where our league drafts players that are currently undraft by any NHL teams. My team was picking 14 in a 16 team league.

By the time my turn came along, pickings were slim. I decided to take a chance and draft Stamkos, since Tavares was already taken. I figured by drafting Stamkos, I could turn my 14th pick for 2007 draftees into the potential number one pick for 2008.

If that is allowed in your league why not? If you have a low pick in 2007 what do you have to lose by drafting Stamkos or even Tavares?

    Ciao,

    thanks for the advises,

thing is that we a total of 23 player per team ( 9 team in total )

    12 fowards
    6 defensmen ( i got a bad defense real bad )
    2 goaler
with 3 extra who can play any position but only the 9 will count for point. Your top 12 foward top 6 d and 1 goaler ony. then we keep any 15 of the 23 and re draft a this point we can imports our juniors, I got to drop 4 d i really have scraps. its a big difference from a 360 point defences to a 195 points, I got to fix that and with most teams kepping their d men i got no choise but to draaft at least 1 every year and drafting the right one.

I can draft any player i want as long that he hasent played more then 10 games in the NHL and consider him as a rookie. They are our junior players 6 per team maximum. We can keep them only for 3 years from the date that we own them. these players are drafted already.

The rookies if they are playing in the NHL if i dont import them they dont count for points. i got to import 2 player this year or drop 2 player in order to draft.

Its a fun keeper pool, Im just undecide about who to draft in my rookie draft.

My team is pretty young, i average 24,3 years old. and my defense is suffering. I got ryan Witney and DIon Phaneuf wich i drafted very high. but the reste is awffull.

Thats why i really need a star upcomming D men.

but its hard to skip Price, Cerepanov, Kane, and so on.... I got pick 1 and 4 and i need to make the best possible combo.

We can only draft player who are drafted by the NHL or playing professional but not curently playing for the NHL but who as played or belongs to a team like Morozov and Vorobiev...

    thanks guys

    MDM

i write allot i know that lol
