Default Doughty or Yandle in a pts only keeper league ?

Hey everyone I really want your precious opinion. In my league we can only protect 2 defenses players and I really want to keep Lundquist so I need to choose betwin Doughty or Yandle.

At the beginning of this year Doughty was my keeper but now since over 1 month Yandle is producing over PPG I think I change my mind, Angus and Dobber are really high on Yandle since 2 weeks they talk about him a lot today Dobber wrote : ( These days, every time I look I see the Coyotes scoring lots of goals. I really do think we have Yandle to thank for that. I always bought into the theory that he was/would be a 50-point defenseman - but now he's REALLY sold me. I think he's a potential 70-point star. Or better. And on Phoenix, that makes him the best player.)

In LA whit Jack Jackson emerging to one of the best young defensemen I think that will hurt Doughty PTS I think he will average around 60pts per season for the next 10 year, Yandle could be a 70pts defensemen for the next decade.

Which one should I keep Doughty or Yandle ???

Thank in advance for your great opinion.

I have both and if I could only keep one i think it would be Doughty, although either is a good choice.

I think your right that doughty is going to be around 60-65 points a year, but Yandle is going to be around the same area. I think Dobber and Angus are saying that Yandle could, maybe got 70 points, not to expect if consistantly.

JJ is having a good year, but I dont think he is going to take away very much from Doughty's production.

So imo....Doughty, but not by much.

Yandle's good, but Doughty's a lot better in my opinion. He's goign to be an elite defenseman in the Leage, and he should get around 60 every year. Yandle's probably just a tad lower, but I'd want Doughty. His team is a lot better as well.

keep yandle - i think you are quite right about jj taking away from doughty. plus doughty already has one concussion. stay away from the concussion.

So would you stay away from Crosby?

And besides, if we're talkign about sidekicks, Doughty might have JJ but Yandle also has OEL.

Love both of these guys, but I think I'd still give the edge to Doughty, if for no other reason than he plays for the more offensive team.

If I owned Yandle and you offered me Doughty straight up, I couldn't hit accept quick enough...especially in a keeper league...and regardless if it's a points only or otherwise.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Yandle...I should've gone with my gut and protected him instead of Niemi this year...but Doughty is a stud. Just turned 21, already has a 59 point season, already played for the gold medal Canadian Olympic team...Yandle is only 24 and is on pace for a career high in points by a mile, but Doughty is the guy you want. Sell Yandle high if you must get rid of one...

Why not keep the two defenseman (Yandle and Doughty) and let Lundqvist go?

In an 8 team league I am sure you can find a good goalie in the draft

Of the two I'd prefer Doughty, particularly since he seems to now be rounding into form. I was impressed during the Kings' recent game against Edmonton. He seems to be all over the ice once more.

I'm with RR here, keep the 2 stud D men and get another keeper in an 8 team league. If I had to choose though, I'd pick Doughty.
