Default Brassard vs Scremp Long Term Outlook

Which on of these players has the better long term upside:

    Brassard
    Schremp

First glance this is easy, Brassard is the clear choice. Then I got to looking at their stats.

    Brassard: 158 GP 83 pts .52 ppg
    Schremp: 66 GP 38 pts .57 ppg

You could argue Brassard has had more opportunity as well since he has spent time on the first and second lines.

Also, I know Moller right now is not comparable but is his upside just as high or higher than these guys?

I anticipate this being unanimous for Brassard.

Brassard and its not even close. Firmly entrenched as their #2 C in Columbus. Schremp is #2-3 C for a horrible Islanders team and likely just a placeholder until Bailey comes back up. Nielsen is the #3 C on the island yet he consistently sees more ice than Schremp.

Brassard. The main reason for me is that he is a "core" guy that his team is building around. As such, he's been nurtured and given every opportunity to develop and succeed, and the team is only just starting to see the results. So he's much more of a sure thing. Schremp, while no doubt talented and starting to show that he can play in the NHL, is much less certain.

Thanks guys. I have been holding onto Brassard for years now and at no point in his NHL career have I been convinced he will be anything more than a 55-60 pt player.

The difference is that would be considered a good year for Schremp.
