    Default Brodeur

    Would you take a chance that he rebounds. Have a chance to acquire him, but EXTREMELY leary about getting him.

    Depends what you're paying and how deep your G position is.
    Limited Keeper - Keep 5
    Auction draft with a budget of $600. Whatever is left becomes your acquisition budget for the season. At the end of the season 50% of your budget is carried over to the next year.
    Keeper players are taxed +$10 for forwards with over 75 pts. +$5 for forwards under 74pts. +$0 for forwards under 50pts.
    D = +$10 for 65pts +$5 for under 64pts +$0 under 40
    G = +$10 for 32W +$5 for under 31W & +$0 under 15W

    (G) (A) 25, (+/-) 5, (PIM) 3, (PPG) 7.5, (PPA) 5, (SHG) 10, (SHA) 7.5
    (SOG) 1 (W) 50, (L) -20, (GA) -5, (SV) 2, (SHO) 50

    Sure, but it depends on which other goalies you have and what you'd have to give up to get him.

    I have Nieuvirth and would have to give up Spezza.

    One goalie spot? Points league?

    Neuvirth is your only goalie? Well, then you better acquire somebody. Health permitting, Brodeur is assured a boatload of starts.

    Yes I agree that he will get the starts, but will they be wins. And why is it so urgent to acquire a goalie

    Ummm ... because they're pretty important in most leagues. Too important to rely on one who's platooning.

    You'll get more and better responses if you tell us more about your league, like goalie cats. Is it only wins?

    2 points for a win, minus 1 for a loss. 3 additional points for a SO. 2 points for an assist and 10 if you are lucky enough to get a goal. The reason I am saying why so urgent is that everyone assumes that Varlamov is the #1. Neuvy has played very well and I believe Washington will turn it around. I am not so sure with NJ doing the same. I think Neuvy will start next game and if it is a solid outing, Washington may run with a hot goalie. I also have Holtby and trying to get Varlamov as well. I just do not see Washington crapping the bed this bad much longer. They have way too much talent. Hell, if Theo can be the number one like last year, Neuvy can be the same

    Definitely agree with that. But I think putting all your eggs in the Neuvy basket is awfully risky. I'm not sold yet on Varly or Neuvy as a likely #1, so I'd be carrying two goalies if you can. If you could do the Washington handcuff, great. If not, I also agree with you that a Devils renaissance doesn't look likely, but there still are worse goalies to have as insurance than Brodeur.

    Yes , but would you do Spezza for him. To me it sounds like a lot to give up.
