    Default Patrick Marleau +/-

I know that the entire Sharks team is struggling but wow.... I never thought I'd see Marleau sitting with a -16 +/- at this point in the season. In his past 7 games he has 2 points and -8. I'm starting to get a little worried as his +/- is really starting to hurt me. Thoughts? Should I cut him loose now if possible?

I'm starting to wonder the same thing. I traded Horton for Marleau earlier in the year and thought i got the better of the deal. Now i'm starting to wonder. Im much to stubborn to sit him but will this guy turn it around??

I posted something similar in the General chat in a Marleau thread:

He was just driving me nuts lately so I turned around and traded him for Burrows (we count PIMS and +/-). And Marleau's plus minus is dreadful lately...He is -16 on the year (that is -32 points in our league)...-5 in the last 7 days...In his last 14 game he has 5 goals, 4 assists, -15 with 2 PIM, 3 PPG and 54 SOG....(These include tonight)

I would put out trade feelers as his name should get some attention and if you don't like any offers I would ride it out...

I totally just acquired him in my league. I think he's still a sure bet to hit 70, but he'll need to ride this thing out.

Thestandard - what did you pay to get him?

I drafted him third round thinking he would have great peripherals (except maybe PIM) - I am second last in +/-, owing entirely to him. I think San Jose can right the ship but they may need to acquire some defensive help.

I traded Daniel Sedin and Frolov and got Marleau and Gaborik.

If Marleau picks it up a bit and Gabby stays healthy it's a win win for me!

Big ifs my friend. If Gabby gets injured that trade could be brutal. I don't see it as a win-win at all.

I have been looking everywhere to move Marleau. Best offer I had was Leino or Ryan Clowe (Two players with more fantasy points then Marleau in my league).
