I would take it. Might be because I'm a Nucks fan and Kesler just got 2G 1A lol.
Naw seriously, I would pull the trigger and try and flip Luongo for a top 2 round pick (since given his job security and constant W's that will be coming this season, that would not be an outrageous demand).

Ehh....depends in this setting with Hit's Blks etc.. how far off Kesler is statistically from Thorton as the settings tweak that in comparison to normal leagues...if it's close I rather have Luongo side...if not so close I rather have thornton side and would look to move Nittymaki over Niemi as I expect Niemi to land the #1 job out there or at least get the 60-40 split in time...Nittymaaki has been junk as of later where as Niemi has surged and been te better netminder of the two and I expect that to continue so look to deal Nitty

my logic in making this deal.

1) Trade Thornton + Niemi for Luongo + Kesler
2) Trade Nittymaki for a forward to a different owner(try landing a player such as Horton or Vanek or a slumping Spezza)
3) In the end then I'll have

Fleury and Kesler
Luongo (Vanek or Horton or Spezza)
Pavalec

How bout trying to trade Nitty first since you want to rid yourself of both and actually get the forward....then after that do the Luongo-Niemi deal...if you want good return on Nitty i'd do that as soon as possible while it's still there cause I don't see the scales tipping back towards his end in SJ anytime soon which even in a 40-60 split is gonna hurt his trade value quite a bit...try and deal Nitty for a forward first or include him over Niemi in the thronton kesler deal

I don't think you're going to get as good a deal in return for Nittymaki than you would for Luongo, and besides since you already have Fleury and Pavelec I think Nitty would serve as a good 3rd starter whenever he's in net, just have to keep on top of the goalie starters. I highly doubt Nittymaki will get you a Horton Spezza or Vanek, personally I would never pay anything that high for a timeshare goalie unless my goalies consisted of some kinda horrible like Smith and Mason (steve or chris, either way they suck). I see Luongo potentially giving you a better return than Thornton if you play your cards right. Also trading Luongo would condense your G's to Fleury Pav and Nitty and give you another roster slot to fill with a good depth forward that can provide you with peripherals.

I dont want to keep one sj goal keeper in fear that the one I have will loose their starting job. But I think trading nitty first is a good move let me try something and I'll get back to you guys.
