    Default Great move for Green

    From Rotoworld.com

Mike Green practiced with Scott Hannan as his defense partner on Wednesday and said he likes the change of playing with a vocal blueliner.

"It's great, actually," Green said. "I haven't really played with a guy like that for a long time so it's going to be very helpful for myself and the team.... [Hannan's] got a lot more experience and anything he says I listen to. I'm just a sponge here soaking up the information and knowledge that he can give me." Green has been trying to play a more defensive game this season and perhaps playing with a shutdown rearguard like Hannan will help him open up more in the offensive zone.

I really like this as I think that they are right as it will allow him to open up more offensively I think that we can all expect for his production to go up if this duo stays together!!

as good as this looks on paper, i have a feeling it could go the opposite direction and be a terrible defence pairing. we'll see what happens.

Maybe they can be the shutdown pairing! I jest. Seriously whatever gets Green going is fine by me. Made him my first pick in the keeper league in my sig. He's the only thing holding my team back right now.

Wasn't he an Olympian? I agree he's garbage, just kinda funny hearing this stuff about a guy once held in such esteem.

I didn't know he was an Olympian. Just knew he became huge for shutting down Forsberg in the playoffs. Think once he cleared 30 he went down hill..

Even if the duo does work, Boudreau will continually change it up anyway!

Translation: I haven't seen anyone this slow since I played in the AHL, but I was taught to respect my elders; so I'm happy the arthritic old bastard will constantly be at least 30 feet behind me on the ice, that way I won't have to constantly be telling him to STFU.

No I was actually asking a question. Turns out he only ever played for Canada at the World Championships not the Olympics.

As a long time Green owner, I can say it shouldnt have an impact. What does matter is their sub-par PP and Ovechkin's goal slump.
