I still take this deal and move another scorer like Dats or Heater to make up the assists as for the moral delemia of the deal do what you guys want and if you get flak change leagues!! OR add to the deal in someway?? SMALL
Hey folks,
I was talking to the Stamkos owner yesterday and he mentioned to me that he needed a FW/Assist heavy C for his team. I threw out the idea of trading Stamkos for Sedin straight up and instead of flat-out saying, "No" he said he'd think about it.
He explained to me that his biggest fear was that I would over take him in the goals department (the top 5 are all within 5 goals of each other) but I then explained to him that I have enough fire power to take it over without Stamkos (Ovechkin, Heatley, Datsyuk) and that I'd probably end up close to the top anyway.
I know you're all thinking, "Of course you do this trade." but I acquired Sedin for his assists as well. I was falling behind considerably in that category, but have since caught up (8.5/10) and I'm not sure that adding Stamkos would benefit me more in the long run.
He also pointed out the fact that people would go nuts if they saw that I got Stamkos in a trade since there was such an uproar about my Ovechkin deal.
What do you think?

Get Stamkos...nothing else needs to be said...he'll go at least 50-50 this season which is plenty of assists in my book
Who cares what others say... You would have a heavy favoured team... just be careful of injuries.... But I think it's a sound move.

I've been thinking the same too.
Now it's just a matter of balancing pushing the trade with it coming naturally. As soon as another GM starts pushing a trade too much, I feel that's when it falls apart. I'll wait for another strong night fron Henrik before I send anything out.

When it's all said and done Stamkos > Sedin
Sedin's assists and faceoffs can be somewhat replaced by about 300 other centermen. You'll be fine.
