Who's starting Luongo?

Vancouver got destroyed by Chicago last time. I don't expect to see that happen again.

Luongo has less than stellar numbers away from home this year. His career numbers against Chicago aren't too bad though. Except for the W/L record.

With Turco in net for the hawks I have some hope for Vancouver. And Lu has won 3 in a row.

Still....is anyone not starting him???

I'm starting him without hesitation. The day you sit him is the day you get burned. I rarely sit my top goalies unless there's a very good reason e.g. really bad matchup + over games played (roto) + other goalies are very good and have better matchups OR huge lead in H2H matchup on weekend. You get the idea.

He is bad vs CHI some goalies just cant figure out certain teams/players and his is CHI

I've GOT to start him in my H2H league. I have 2 decent starts left and my opponent has 4 or 5. I hope Vancouver is out for revenge tonight

Chicago is in his head, and always will be. The day the Canucks make it to the Cup finals is the day they avoid the Hawks on their way there.

Starting both Turco and Luongo tonight in a one year H2H leauge so I really hope for a low scoring game. I doubt it will happen but I need the starts as my match-up this week was a brutal one.

I'm not touching this game with a ten foot pole. Neither goalie looks appealing to me. I'm lukcy my goalie stats are rock solid though.

I'm not starting Luongo. I would rather protect my ratios than chase a win.

I play roto and I'm joint top of wins currently.

I actually overthought the situation and outsmarted myself. Ive got a HTH team with Luongo, Lundqvist, and Turco. Tonight I tried to get cute and started Luongo and Turco for the 'guaranteed' win (we were 2-2 into today). Nice try, Sparky. Lundqvist goes out and promptly shuts the Islanders out, and Im currently losing in a tough cat to make up on the spot (SHO) 1-0. Ah well. That'll show me.

Oh damn. I definitely would have started Lundqvist. Sorry to hear that.

I'm pretty happy I played Luongo so far. 7 minutes left and he's working on a shutout. The problem? My opponent has Miller AND Lundqvist. 2 shutout's tonight :\

Definitely some regret but I stand by the decision. Luongo could have done me way more damage than good. Although it is annoying to see I'm losing wins by one in my H2H matchup and could have had two if I'd let the boys loose tonight. Oh well, I swear more often than not chasing the win bites you in the ass.

It really does. And I think I'd be OK with either decision. I could afford to start him so I did. I definitely never saw a shutout coming. You always HOPE for one but how often does that happen?? I bet the next time you start him against Chicago you'll think of this thread.....and they'll get blasted lol. The wonderful world of hockey

A shutout wouldn't have done anything but boost the lead I already had in my league, since we don't count shutouts, so it would have been purely a win chasing endeavor for me.

Oddly enough I did hedge my bets by placing on Vancouver tonight. I don't know if I made the decision subconsciously since I was sitting Luongo but I really felt Vancouver was due to beat Chicago, especially with how well they've played recently. In the end, I'll gladly take the instant cash over the fantasy boost.
