Babcock hoping for Free Agency moves..

Good stuff. I just hope those two get to free agency because I really think the Wings will throw the whole lot at them.
On another note about this season, I have to bring up the awesome play from Jonathan Ericsson. He took a MAJOR step forward from his past two years spent in the doghouse while living it Turnoverville. Jakub Kindl kind of took over that role this year, but he didn't show the promise that Ericsson did in his rookie year. I look for big things from Ericsson from here on out; him playing with Lidstrom in the playoffs is a huge boost of confidence.

Lids talks to media.
Cleary had successful knee surgery and will be ready for training camp. Missed him all season long but he was the best Wing in the last two games vs Nashville.

Man would Loui Eriksson ever look great as a Red Wing. I know he's locked up for a long time so it's not going to happen, but he had 13 points in 8 games this tournament. Of his 13 points, 11 had either Zetterberg or Franzen involved in them, while Zetterberg alone was in on 10 of them.
Zetterberg had 14 points while Franzen had 9. I guess Hank didn't run out of gas. Great to see. Thanks for showing up in the playoffs Johan.
Other notable Wings in the tournament....
Sweden
Kronwall: 8 gp, 1 goal.....
Ericsson: 2 gp, 1 goal
Jarnkrok: 8 gp, 1 assist
Czech
Petr Mrazek was on the Czech team but didn't start a game in favour of Jakub Kovar (Flyers prospect)
Finland...still going
Filppula: 8 gp, 10 points so far
Slovakia...still going
Tatar: 8 gp, 5 points so far
Wings sign Pulkkinen to ELC.

Update on Brad Stuart's status.
Definitely expected, but at least it leaves a tiny window open for him to return to Detroit.Brad Stuart: The defenseman is hoping to sign with the San Jose Sharks to be close to his family, which is unable to relocate from northern California. But if the Sharks aren’t interested or the sides can’t reach a deal, Stuart hasn’t ruled out a return to the Red Wings, who might be his second choice. Detroit, however, might not have the roster spot or the salary-cap space for Stuart if it’s able to sign Suter or another defenseman.
How much of a discount is Stuart going to give San Jose? I'm curious as a Sharks fan. Is he still a viable top 4 defenseman?
