You see what you see, I see what I see. I see Klim 2.0. You asked why I see that and I explained why. If you want to take it right down to points per minute, that's getting pretty fussy and nitpicky in my eyes as far as production goes. We can agree to disagree here. It's a generalized comparison. Again, both are banger style players with limited offensive upside and ability. I dont think either guy exceeds much more than what we've already seen from them up to this point. As Dennis Green said, "they are who we thought they were."

Two injury updates from Oilers coach Jay Woodcroft:
- Ryan McLeod has a soft-tissue tweak and was kept off the ice for precautionary reasons.
- Minor-league goaltender Ryan Fanti is out month to month with a hip issue.

Fanti was already falling behind as a prospect. This gives his sophomore season a terrible start.

Evander Kane starting off on the top line with Mcjesus and Brown (as outlined in the guide). Hope this sticks!

Nothing sticks with this lineup, but you'll see Kane and Brown bouncing around the top 6 for most of the season. Every now and again they'll get run with McLeod or Nuge (when Draisaitl moves up to the top wing).

My favourite thing with the Oilers is how often they dabble in not having McDavid and Draisaitl together but to just revert to it and have Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman as the top line constantly.

Top 4 line combinations last yr were:
Hyman-Dra-McDavid
Hyman-RNH-McDavid
Kane-Drai-Yamamoto
Kane-Drai-McDavid

Over the last three seasons the Oilers score about 3 G/60 at 5-on-5 with one of McDavid or Draisaitl on the ice and nearly 4.5 G/60 with both of them on the ice. When their down a goal the nuclear option starts to look pretty tasty.

Especially so when they are rolling 11F-7D and giving McDavid and Draisaitl those extra shifts with the 4th to get them extra run against scrubs.

This is fair so I should rephrase. I hope Evander Kane gets 60%+ of his EV minutes next to Mcjesus this season (as predicted)! 60 points with 3 hits and 3 sogs per game will be immensely valuable in multi-cat

He should get you 60 if he's healthy for 70+ games.

Oh I'm sure Skinner will get his games. It's just nice to see Campbell in a good place, even if it's only preseason.
