I just picked him as he was waivers exempt, and it was a pretty common dollar figure.

Lavoie & Niemelainen both lost their waivers-exempt status this offseason. Lavoie performed well enough in the AHL last season, particularly the back half, that I can't see Holland risk losing him for nothing. Niemelainen seems to be on the fringes of being an NHLer or not and teams always want defense with size like his, he's a risk to be claimed as well.

As an aside I love Ryan McLeod and I am so happy he was brought back at a semi-reasonable price. He might be my favourite player on the team currently.

That's exiting news for the local radio market. 1260 did very well I think in terms of listeners and I expect 1440 to do just as well if not better as it's not owned by Bell!

The list of hosts is solid Kevin Karius has been great on TV for so long and Jason Gregor is also great at his show. I do hope they are still able to tap into TSN and ESPN reporters without issue.
