I get the sense that Klefbom is going to have a really good fantasy season. I'm trying to get him as a 5-6 Dman in pretty much any format.

I hope so. As a Talbot investor, he needs a lot better D in front of him.

Damn that is ugly. Other than McDavid, Draisaitl, RNH, Klef, and Larsson, it looks like an AHL lineup.

yes... he's a threat to steal the starting gig. If I'm a Talbot owner, I'm hunting down Koskinen

maybe a playoff team on the back of the studs, but lack of depth will expose them to an early playoff exit

The starting gig?... I can see him stealing starts, but the gig outright? I dunno...

Thanks for the note. I'll see if I can nab him late. Probably can.

Both Talbot and Koskinen are UFA after this year, so the window is definitely wide open for Koskinen to steal the gig outright.

not yet...other teams have been able to make the playoffs and do quite well with a solid 1/2 punch down the middle and not much else at the forward position (most notably Crosby/Malkin), but without a #1 dman (like Letang) or a decent goalie (like Fleury or Murray), I don't even see this team making the playoffs. Plus, McDavid and Draisaitl are still a bit young to carry the entire team (for now).

It is such a truly embarrassing situation.

I wouldn't underrate the effect of a healthy and focused Larsson. Last year was a trying year for him.

Talbot should also have daycare set up and I bet he doesn't do pick-up or drop-off. So he should be better.

You can easily substitute Larsson's name with Klefboms there too.

There must be a story there I'm not aware of.

Absolutely.. but all the more Larsson, who is better at keeping pucks out of his net than Klefbom is at putting them in the other one.

Koskinen is already learning from the master of this, Cam Talbot who did it in 14 games last year...

First shot - first goal against.

It's preseason so no one cares except for the team that had it happen at least 14 times in 82 regular season games last year.
