They've now lost 4 times in overtime recently. Even if they had won those games, they'd still be a horrible team, but their record would look quite a bit better.

I can't even imagine how much this has affected their already fragile psyche. Deep down they must know that once a game gets to overtime, they are toast. Even with less than a second left on the clock, teams find a way to beat them.

I noticed it was Ekman-Larsson who scored. Fitting.

I didn't watch the game, but looking at the stat line, it seems he had another dominating game. Over 30 mins, 8 SOG, and the game winner.

Want a reason to jump off the proverbial balcony? Remember when the Oilers could have gotten Perry and a first for Mike Comrie but Lowe got petty and demanded money from Comrie before consummating the deal? Here's your reminder: http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/oile...trade-1.399739

Now excuse me while I light all my Oilers gear on fire.

Today in history: Gretzky reached 100 pts in 34 games (1983). Today, after 32 games the Oilers roster has 124 points.

    Wow...

A very fun time to be a fan. The oilers and the great one were in the news seemingly every other day breaking some kind of offensive record or another.

Oil Barons are defunct at the end of 2014-15 season! Another reason why MacT might of wanted to get Nelson up. But the bigger question is the WTF to they do for a farm/development team?

Another loss (after leading) tonight. The Oilers have won just 1 game in their last 17.

On a positive note, at least the franchise is getting back into the business of setting records once again

I was the idiot who turned the game on in the third period. Saw they were up by 1, and seemed like they were actually playing well. Picked up the game at the 18:00 mark of the, watched typical Oilers hockey until the Sharks scored twice, and turned it off. Don't see anything new there right now. That defense is so disgustingly bad.

They don't have see a need for one obviously. Or maybe the Oilers will move to the AHL where they belong.

The Oilers were pretty good for stretches in the game, but just got schooled in the third period. It will get better.

This has been the problem all season (note the 4 loses in OT recently). They just cannot keep focus for a full 60 (or 65 minutes).
