I don't know if Fleury is that appealing TBH. I don't see much more than bottom pairing in his future. Might be better to pick Allen and trade him back.

I agree... but I think the Habs will be really in tough without Allen to carry a workload, I see them coming to some sort of arrangement to not lose Allen. Which would leave Fleury open for picking.

Bergevin doesn't seem like a big side deal guy. Doesn't fit his personality. I've felt all along Seattle should take a few (5 or 6) of the quality goalies and then trade a couple. Teams are always looking for quality goal tending and willing to pay for it. Khudobin now appears to be off the table from Dallas so Allen becomes even more likely to be taken.

Allen is a nice piece at a great price but the Habs should be able to find another good back-up for less than a top prospect and a pick.

I would put Allen more so around 30ish games.

That is a pretty steep price tag to keep him though...

Sad to say I think even with Allen the Habs will be hard pressed to even make the playoffs. I think paying that kind of price to keep Allen is just too much of a risk/lose. Sigh.

Quite a gamble to protect a back up goalie. Like others have said, maybe there’s a deal in place to not take Price. If there is no such deal, Seattle would have a superstar and an instant face of the franchise. Is it too good to be true though? If the Kracken do take him, MB will have to go out and get a starter. Won’t have to spend $11M either. Wait and see I guess.

I don't think there's a deal... If they were making a deal then there would be no point to waive Price's NMC.

MB doesn't need to go out and get a starter. Allen is starter capable... almost. His full starter years in STL weren't great, but if we get a 1B Allen will be fine.
