I wasn't implying that, I was just curious to see where it was originating from.
    Thanks

All things being equal, I'd rather take my chances on Reilly than watching Joe Morrow trying to defend in his zone!

Pacioretty apparently showed emotion and took out frustration when he decided to fight an undersized D.

    From Friedman

Bergevin didn’t make it easy. He aimed high and never wavered. It’s believed that, when Los Angeles inquired, Bergevin’s ask involved Tyler Toffoli, 2017 first-rounder Gabriel Vilardi and possibly more. The Kings quickly said no. Another belief: He asked Minnesota for Charlie Coyle-plus, also a no.

One of Pacioretty’s preferred destinations is Florida. GM Dale Tallon is close with Bergevin. I suspect the Canadiens targeted Vincent Trocheck. The Panthers weren’t doing that.

You get the idea. Montreal valued Pacioretty and refused to make a panic move at the buzzer.
    Also

What I think happened after was the captain had some time to breathe and think. He had his conversation with Bergevin. When you don’t get traded, and your team isn’t going to the playoffs, there is a choice: You can grit your teeth and push through, or you can say, “Whatever happens, I’m going to attack this with a great attitude.”

It sounds like Pacioretty is going for option B.

Wow. Montreal gave up 3 breakaways on their first power play against the Islanders. I say they decline any power play the rest of the game.

I watched him closely last night in Winnipeg.. Let's just say I wasn't overly impressed.. From what I've seen in the past, I know I wouldn't have given up a 4th round draft pick for him..

Juulsen looks pretty solid on the defensive side of the puck.

Remember when Logan Shaw was kept out of a game for trade reasons?

He's terrible, I can't believe he has played 20 minutes per night at some point with the Habs.

Looks like Lindgren is in goal tonight. That would mean Niemi tomorrow.

Habs need to stop picking up points. They have points in each of their last seven games (10 of of a possible 14).

Writer of the weekly Top 10 column.

12-team Keeper pool, straight points for forwards & dmen. Goalies get: 2 points per win, 3 per shutout, 1 point per assist & 1 point per shootout loss.

    League champ in 2013, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022.

Top 8 forwards, 5 dmen and 2 goalies count.

We keep 15 players (any position) plus two rookies.

Forwards: Panarin, Ovechkin, Kopitar, Stamkos, Tuch, Rust, Marchessault, Pavelski, Miller, Bertuzzi, Stone, Kakko, Brown, Stankoven, Kovalenko
Defence: Hedman, Fox, Matheson, Thrun, Jiricek
Goalies: Kochetkov, Talbot, Vasilevskiy, Campbell, Schmid
