Both of those scenarios are silly.

Yeah, at first I was kind of ok with a Beaulieu + Scherbak + 2nd, but then I smartened up lol.

I like Beaulieu, a 2nd (heck even a 1st) and a prospect (not an impact player such as McCarron or Sherbak though). I just don't know how much either side value Drouin so it makes it difficult to come up with a potential trade.

Do you guys think Beaulieu, a 2017 1st round pick and Hudon could do it?

Objectively, I don't think Beaulieu, Sherback or McCarron plus a 1st pick is that silly.

Drouin, even with the ? marks and reputation loss has high potential. I would imagine it's definitely in the ballpark of what TB is looking for.

But I'm not sure it makes sense. A) I'd be very concerned about Drouin's ability to deal with the pressure of playing for MTL as a potential francophone superstar. B) Although I'm not personally a fan of Beaulieu, Markov's recent demise and the general suckiness of Emelin and Gilbert makes it hard to imagine the Canadiens trading him.

The other angle to this is the role puck-moving D play in generating goals. Beaulieu hasn't had that many points but he's been very good this year.

Not sure. People are too busy debating whether or not John Scott should be called up.

Therrien said Patch will be on the lineup tomorrow.

Max Pacioretty is expected to be fine to play when the Canadiens play at Philadelphia next Tuesday.

He left Tuesday's game after a deflected shot struck him in the face midway through the second period. Coach Michel Therrien said the injury wasn't serious after the contest. Jan 27 - 11:03 AM

....but seriously, I'm interested to see Ghetto get back in the lineup and see what Lessio can bring.

Based on the lineup I've seen Lessio is going to be in the press box tonight.

Yeah, I just saw the line-ups. That's unfortunate, but I guess after the long break you go back to your normal lines.

Maybe he gets in tomorrow night for Ghetto.

They're going back to last year's lines. Pac-Desh-Weise and Galch-Plek-Gallagher. I think they tried this combination two or three times already during the slump. At this point they're just playing Bingo in the back to determine the line combinations for next game.

I mean't more so who's in the line-up, but yeah they are strange combinations.

The Eller, Flash, DSP line...I don't know how I feel about that. The optimistic part of me thinks they can use their size and control the play, the pessimist in me thinks they won't get more than 10 minutes of ice time.

Max Pacioretty – David Desharnais – Dale Weise
Alex Galchenyuk – Tomas Plekanec – Brendan Gallagher
Tomas Fleischmann – Lars Eller – Devante Smith-Pelly
    Ghetto/Lessio - Mitchell - Flynn

Flash-Eller aren't the problem on that line, it's Devante "Hand of Stones" Smith-Pelly. Andrighetto needs to be on that line.
