Turco WAS better then Huet...in 2002. This season he's worse.
Crawford hands the Kings only their 2nd loss at home this season...only goal allowed was a 2-man advantage PP (totally not his fault). Against one of the leagues top offenses (particularly at home), this was a huge win for the Hawks. I'd be surprised if they immediately went back to Turco at home against the Blues on Tuesday...

Quantity of saves isn't as crucial as quality of saves. I watched the entire game, and he made a couple of big ones when the game was scoreless and a couple more when the Kings were applying pressure late. The only goal came on a 5-on-3 thanks to a Smyth screen.
If I were a Turco owner (which I'm glad I'm not) and Crawford were available, I'd snap him up as a handcuff ASAP. While I agree that Turco is no Huet, Crawford outplayed him on the just-completed trip, and Q proved last season that he'll turn to a rookie goalie over a struggling vet.

I know this will catch a lot of flak from the Turco supporters, but Corey does now have 891 minutes of .921 sv pct at the highest level...just saying
I think that more than 20-25 starts is a major understatement as he looks to be pulling a Niemi on Turco....enjoy the bench Turc's your done buddy
Blackhawks' Crawford in line for more starts
Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford is in line for more starts because of his strong play of late. Crawford has been in the net for three of the last four games and four of the last seven, giving up only five goals in that time frame; all Chicago wins. With Marty Turco struggling of late, look for coach Joel Quenneville to play Crawford a little more often than the perceived 20-25 starts most thought Crawford would get before the start of the season. He makes a terrific handcuff to Turco at this time.
I bit the bullet and dropped my newly acquired Hanzal to pick up Crawford. I was tempted to drop Skinner instead but I am trying to package Ladd & Skinner together to try and buy low on somebody.
Hopefully this move pays off. I had Bernier earlier in the season and hoped for Quick to falter but that didn't work out. Turco seems like he's already half way there.

I ditched Turco for Anderson and picked up Crawford. I take back everything I said about Turco, he can retire now.
I read he may be back Friday at the earliest.
Looks to me its time to send Budaj back to the bench and call up Crawford!!
He's in line for another win...his 5th straight. I was waiting to make a 2-for-1 deal before picking him up but got scooped. It's fine though, I'm quite set in net...but I'd be happy to own him right now.
