    Default Gilbert vs Taormina

Neither player may end up being a keeper but Gilbert was just put on the WW, i have first crack at him do i drop Taormina for him?

    my other D are
Doughty, Keith, Zidlicky, Giordiano, Ekman-Larsson, I.White plus Taormina

we count G,A,PIM,PPP,SOG i am assuming this should be a no brainer?

One of the above is getting healthy scratched, I think that should make the decision fairly easy. Taormina is getting scratched on New Jersey's shitty defense. Not sure this switch is worth the top waiver priority though.

Agreed. The flavor of the month has changed. Definately not worth the risk compared to a surfire NHLer (bare minimum), and all those who dropped Greene in his favour are more than concerned at this point.

That's how I'd play it... it ain't like Gilbert's cooking up anything spicy recently either.

Since when was Taormina getting healthy scratched? He has sat out the last two games with a foot injury.

Actually, he's sat out one of the last 2 games. He sat out last night (monday) bc of a foot injury he got on Sunday. He played all of the last 5 games before then for the Devils and played 17 thus far...

I'd still like Gilbert over him, but he isn't exactly making my case for me right now either...

That's how I would play it too. I can't speak for the other GM in your league, but honestly, Gilbert doesn't scream "pick me" with his latest play. However, he's definitely a good bench pickup instead of Taormina in preparation to his hot streak in the 2nd half.

Tough call, with neither getting much power play time - any d-man's bread and butter. I think (but haven't verified) Taormina maintains an edge in SOG, if that helps.

I still think (false hope?) Taormina has a better shot at bumping Greene off the PP, than Gilbert does Whitney or Foster. Dunno...just a gut check on my part.

In the interest of full disclosure, I own both Foster and Taormina.
