I personally feel that that ship has sailed. If anyone can get Edler for a relative cheap price now, or even a month ago, then his owner is not paying attention or just a horrible fantasy G.M.
I personally believe this next month will be the last time you will be able to get Alex Edler from the GM that currently owns him without paying an arm and a leg.
He's always had high upside.
He keeps improving his numbers.
He keeps gaining new roles.
He's in a great situation (especially playing on the Canucks PP).
Edler will be the newest entry into the 50+ point defensemen and hopefully on a yearly basis.

I agree whole heartedly. I own him in both my keepers and I love the way this kid is developing. With the talent around him he really could be a 60pt Dman or close to it. Still I think he will be a solid 45-50pt guy as long as he is in vancouver.
It took an offer with Letang for me to give up Edler. Edler is going to be very good for many years to come. He is not an unknown at this stage.

Drafted him in our inaugural year because he was cheap (0.55) and we're capped. Man has he ever been awesome for me. If he can his +/- up, he will be GOLD for me!

I gave Myers and Frolik

Edler, Byfuglien and Tatar
I hurt trading Myers, but Edler has be awesome and I can't say enough good things about how Buff is thriving as a D in Atlanta.

Here's a little nugget for all the Edler fans out there
Year: Ice time and production value (average ice time per point recorded
), respectively
06-07: 11:27, 83:56
07-08: 21:21, 80:04
08-09: 21:07, 45:39
09-10: 22:39, 40:58
10-11: 25:00, 32:42
being given more responsibility and getting better every year. It's not often you see a 4 year upward trend in production value
gotta love it
