Markov out...who do I pickup?

I need to try and fill the hole in my line up, left by Markov...while none of these guys is going to do that for me, I am faced with a decision...do I go with the best guy now?, or being a keeper league, do I take a guy who might be on the cusp of breaking out?

Hamrlik - He will benefit from the PP time available with Markov out.
Methot - I like his +/- contributions, and he can chip in with some pts.
Montador - I am not a fan, but he has been putting up some great stats.
Butler - He intrigues me going forward. Could he be ready to jump onto the scene?

I am trying to look at it as Dobber, or was it Angus? mentioned...pretend they are all at zero, and choose the guy who will post the numbers.

I know its not a sexy list, but its a deep keeper pool, and that is what is out there. Rank the top 3 please.

Tough call. I would keep an eye on Weber to see if he gets the call.

Or stash away Marc-Andre Bergeron, who is on the cusp of a return and will sign somewhere. Lots of pressure to sign him in Mtl, and it looks like TB is a serious contender. He is largely forgotten, and likely available.

Of those you mentioned, you may as well flip a coin. Off the top of my head, I would grab Hammer, Montador, Methot and Butler in that order.

I know that he wasn't one your list, but I'd take a look to see if Shattenkirk (COL) is available. He got called up about a week ago and is getting 22-25 minutes per game with 5 minutes of PP. He only has one assist so far, but could be the PP QB for a long time to come in COL.

If not, then the Butler has the best long term upside. Shorter term, I do agree that Hamrlik would be one, then a toss up between Methot and Montador and then Butler

this is a great idea...if Shats (he he he) is out there. and i have the same ranking for the guys you listed. and yes a very unsexy list!
