Tom Gilbert - Time to Cut Bait?

Tom Gilbert has shown us just how much he SUCKS seconds into the PHX - EDM game. He looked like a novice skater trying to clear the zone by slowly pushing the puck up the boards. Not surprisingly, the 'yotes took the puck and scored because of Gilbert's inability to make a simple clearing.

Gilbert is awful defensively.

Absolutely correct. He is a horrendous mess in his own zone and doesn't do enough offensively to justify his horrible defense.

The play you just outlined is the reason I've been yelling at Gilbert for 3 seasons now. I can't stand him. I don't care if he has 45pt potential. He's got to go and you should cut him lose
